诗经·周南·卷耳
Mouse-ear
采采卷耳，
不盈顷筐。
嗟我怀人，
寘彼周行。
I pick and pick mouse-ear
But can't my basket load.
Sick for my husband dear,
I leave it by the road.
陟彼崔嵬，
我马虺隤。
我姑酌彼金罍，
维以不永怀。
The mountain is too steep
For my thin horse to climb.
I pour wine and drink deep
To kill care for a time.
陟彼高冈，
我马玄黄。
我姑酌彼兕觥，
维以不永伤。
The mound ahead stands up;
My horse cowers nearby.
I fill my rhino cup
To relieve a sad sigh.
陟彼砠矣，
我马瘏矣，
我仆痡矣，
云何吁矣。
The rock afore stands stout;
My horse sways left and right,
And my servant's worn out.
How can I pass my blight?
【注解】
寘(zhi)，舍也。
周行(hang)，大道也。
崔嵬(wei)：山高不平。
虺隤(huitui)：疲极而病。
姑：姑且。
罍(lei)：器名，青铜制，用以盛酒和水。
兕(si)，野牛，一角，青色，重千斤。
觥(gong)，爵也，以兕角为爵也。砠(ju) 石山戴土。
瘏(tu)，马病不能进。
痡(pu)，人病不能行。
吁(xu)，尤叹也。
